WELCOME
You've made it to Odyssey Farm, home of Welsh ponies for riding and driving--located in North Carolina, near to the Carolina Horse Park. It was the 1st horse-farm in the area and now we're surrounded by fellow equine enthusiasts.
Odyssey Farm was bought in 1987. It consisted of 40 acres and a small 35 year old house. The land had been intensely farmed and was depleted of nutrients. There were no large trees left as they sold them all for timber.
Over the years, another 30 acres was purchased and a house was built along with a barn, several run in sheds, a man cave, and a chicken coop. Also on the property is a salt-water pool, pond, dressage ring and hazards course. Harvested crops are hay, vegetables, fruits, and herbs. Currently, the livestock is composed of chickens, guineas, pigs and fish. On the property are wooded wetlands which have trails through them. These trails are maintained and thoroughly enjoyed for pleasure and competition.
